Bridgeport tops Fairmont 9-10 All-Stars, 7-3

BRIDGEPORT — Every Little Leaguer dreams of coming up big. To get that clutch hit with the bases loaded and two outs. The visualization of “that pitch.” The feeling of driving the ball through the hole, while the crowd is cheering — that’s priceless.

 Bridgeport’s Nate Mullins turned that dream into a reality. The youngster came up to the plate with ice in his veins. Like a dream, the bases were loaded; there were two outs, he had two strikes and the game was knotted, 3-3.

 Capping this dream off was the fact that he was hitting against a team who he hates. A rival that was created the day he was born — the Fairmont-Bridgeport rivalry.
