North Marion’s baseball team dropped a wild 23-13 home loss, in six innings, to Magnolia on Wednesday.
The Huskies, now 1-10 on the year, took the lead with a six-run third inning only to see Magnolia take it back soon after. The visitors would eventually break open a close game — North was up 14-13 in the latter frames — with nine runs in the sixth.
“We fell apart,” North coach Vic Seccuro said. “We had two outs and it snowballed for us. They singled us to death.”
Offensively, everyone in the North lineup had a hit.
Ryan Jolliffe went 3 for 4 with a double; Travis Smith doubled and tripled; Skyler Brooks was 3 for 4 with a double and two singles; Tanner Woods doubled and Matt Hawkins and Caleb Lee hit singles.
