After a two-year hiatus, the North Marion girls’ basketball program is making the journey back to Charleston.
The Huskies punched their ticket to next week’s Class AA state tournament Wednesday, holding off gritty Braxton County for a 59-55 home victory in the Region I co-final.
Aside from bumping its win streak to 13 — the longest in double-A after Bridgeport’s current 16-game run — the victory earned North (18-4) its fourth trip to states in the past five years.
