Bees’ coaching clinic a success

PLEASANT VALLEY — Atlanta Braves’ middle relief pitcher David Carpenter and East Fairmont head baseball coach Rob Barrett produced a clinic that was a success.

During the event, held Saturday at EFHS, there were roughly 100 enthused baseball fanatics and coaches that absorbed the knowledge taught during the event.

During the clinic, there was an open session that involved former WVU pitcher and White Sox pitcher Levi Maxwell, along with Carpenter and Barrett.

“Our goal was to mainly talk with some of the coaches and the parents in the area,” Carpenter stated. “We wanted to try to inform them on making them a little better as far as their fundamental techniques and good teaching versus bad teaching.”
