PLEASANT VALLEY —
Look closely enough, look past the win-loss record, and you’ll see an East Fairmont girls’ basketball team that is gradually improving.
The Bees, however, are still not where coach Bill Malone wants them to be.
Wednesday night was the latest example of that, as East fought to erase an early deficit over visiting Grafton, only to see late-game mistakes get in the way in a 46-36 loss.
“You see a little light at the end of the tunnel, and when we see that light, it turns out to be a train coming,” Malone said. “We just have to learn to relax.
“I thought we had a shot at it.”
