FSHS reaches girls’ lacrosse title contest

FAIRMONT — Fairmont Senior’s girls’ lacrosse team will play for a state title next Saturday.

The Polar Bears reached the championship game with an 11-7 win over George Washington Thursday night.

“It was a great tem effort tonight,” coach Jonathan Cain said. “The defense really picked it up. The girls looked good.”

Adriana Constable had four goals and two assists for the Polar Bears. Maddie Craig contributed three goals. Ali Sansalone had two goals.  Isbella Leon added 11 saves in goal.

FSHS will play the winner of tonight’s Morgantown-University game for the state championship.
