East Fairmont’s boy’s soccer team were told to play physical and that’s exactly what they did Thursday in their 7-1 win over Lewis County.
The Bees got their night going scoring three goals right after another.
The first goal came when James Bolander found Colin Harvath in the box with a throw in, Harvath kicked the ball out of the air and into the goal scoring his first of his three goals on the night.
Bolander found the goal himself not too long after, drilling a ball far post from 20 yards out of the 18 yard box giving the Bees their second goal.
Andrew Slusser, Logan Cerullo, and Levi Perkins each furthered the score for the Bees with a goal each. Ryan Bower and Connor Fitz each added an assist.
Jimmy Stutler had Lewis County’s only goal of the night.
Head Coach Fred Roman said his team played strong defense.
“It was a great defensive effort, I wasn’t really happy with letting them get the goal at the end,” he said. “But I’m very proud of the team play tonight.”
Roman said his team played more physical than in their previous games.
