FSU basketball has golf event, meet-and-greet

Bob Huggins to speak at event

FAIRMONT — On Nov. 4, Fairmont State University basketball coach Jerrod Calhoun and West Virginia University coach Bob Huggins will be rivals when the teams square off in an exhibition game.

Friday the closest thing to competition will be the jockeying for position in the buffet line.

Huggins will be the guest speaker at an FSU basketball meet and greet at Westchester Village at 6 p.m.

“Coach Huggins is a great speaker,” Calhoun said. “A lot of times ‘Huggs’ will get up there and he’ll just be ‘Huggs.’ He can capture an audience just by telling stories.”

The event follows the first Jerrod Calhoun Golf Classic, a four-man scramble at Green Hills Country Club.
