Fairmont All-Stars in state tourney

The West Virginia Little League State Tournament is the next stop for the Fairmont Little League All-Stars.
The all-star team will face Chapmanville at 6 p.m. Saturday in the first round of pool play in the state tournament game at Clarksburg.
State tournament games will be split between the Little League fields in Clarksburg and Bridgeport.
The Fairmont All-Stars, coached by Doug Hannah and Steve Mohr, defeated Bridgeport by an 8-2 score last weekend.
The Fairmont team will be playing in Pool 1 and the following games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
After the Fairmont team plays Chapmanville, which is located in Logan County, on Saturday, it will oppose Barboursville at 3:30 p.m. Sunday and Moorefield at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Then the top two teams from each pool will advance to a single elimination final.
Members of the Fairmont team are Ronnie Mills, Hayden Stewart. Colton Toothman, Brandon Plivelich, Luke Hrapchak, Ryder Skarzinski, Johnny Ray Kesling and Bailey Mohr, Austin Norman, Gage Hannah, Sterling Fitzwater.
The Clarksburg field is located near the VA Hospital.
