After a 40-20 loss on Friday night against Frankfort, Fairmont Senior hopes to turn its season back around next week versus Lincoln.
The Polar Bears will be heading to a 1-5 team in Lincoln next week.
Even though the Cougars only have one win this season, they will still be a difficult opponent to play since they run a spread offense.
“They run an offense similar to our offense at the beginning of the year,” said Fairmont Senior head coach Jared Mileto. “They run the spread offense. Both ours and their offenses come from coach Mike Kellar from California of Pennsylvania. The offense they run, I know it and our coaching staff knows it. We know the exact play call for each play, and we also know what they are calling in the huddle to a certain extent. I don’t really know if that’s a benefit or if it’s more of a headache since we know what everything is designed to do and built to attack. So, it might just open up a whole other can of worms of what you’re worried about stopping and preparing for.”
