Fairmont Senior scored long touchdowns of 50 and 99 yards en route to a 62-14 victory over North Marion Friday night at East-West Stadium.
Noah Harmon rushed for 175 yards, 126 of which came in the first half, and two scores to lead the Polar Bears. Quarterback Austin Norman threw for 263 yards and three scores, including a 99-yard strike to Nick Davisson. Norman also ran for 33 yards and a score.
Altogether, the Polar Bears tallied 556 yards of offense.
For North Marion, its ground game was the bread and butter. The Huskies had 11 different ball carriers and ran the ball 48 times.
Ryan Elliott led the Huskies with 119 yards on 19 carries. Chase Banker lined up all over the field for North Marion, and completed three of four passes for 49 yards and a score, a 30-yard pass to Tristan Riggs.
In the end, Fairmont Senior’s offensive attack was just too much for the Huskies.
Fairmont Senior now moves to 2-0 while North Marion falls to 0-2.
