They said he couldn’t be a high school running back. They said that he wasn’t tall enough, not big enough.
Well guess what? They’re wrong.
His name? Ryan Elliott.
North Marion’s 120-pound state champion wrestler who went 49-0 as a junior.
Though Elliott lacks in size, he has something that others don’t have, which is heart.
“Me and my size, I think I play a lot harder knowing that I’m a lot smaller than everyone,” Elliott said. “If I don’t then I will just get killed out there. This is just how I play. I like to use my size to my advantage.”
Even though Elliott isn’t the biggest football player on the field, football is in his blood.
