Fairmont Senior’s girls’ basketball team picked up another easy victory Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears used a 31-8 run in the second quarter to blow by Elkins, 76-44.
Erica Bowles had a double-double with 17 points, Emily Stoller scored 19 points and Kaden Whaley had 16.
“I've got a group of girls that love to play,” said Fairmont Senior coach Corey Hines. “They really get enthusiastic about playing, it doesn't matter who it is.”
Hines credits his junior high programs and coaches Corey Boddy, Roger Osborne, George Butler and Mike Nunan with developing his young team.
"I have an excellent junior high program,” he said. “They're developing young talent. With as hard as they're working it enables young players to step right in."
The Polar Bears return to action Tuesday against Lincoln at the Woody Williams Armory.
