East teams keep winning: PHOTOS

FAIRMONT — East Fairmont’s girls’ tennis team added another win to its impressive season total, rolling to a 5-2 home victory over Lewis County.

With the win, the Bees moved 12-4 overall, 9-3 in the Big 10 and 5-1 in region play.

Skyler Morgan (8-4), Jaqueline Costello (8-4) and Brittiany Brumage (8-1) each added singles victories for East.

In doubles play, Costello and Brumage (8-2) along with Marcie Corder and Cara Laswell (8-4) teamed for wins.

On the boys’ side, the Bees had little trouble with the Minutemen in a 6-1 romp at East Marion.

East, now 8-7 overall for the season and 7-4 in conference, won three matches on Wednesday in both singles and doubles play.

In singles, Khris Musgrove (8-2), Brighton Kunce (8-1) and Ben Costello (8-4) all notched victories.

Doubles wins came from the Bee duos of Musgrove and Kunce (8-2), Costello and Joseph Sarsfield (8-2), and Jordan Leonard and Jason Mills (via forfeit).

East hosts cross-town rival Fairmont Senior today.
