Huskies roll to pair of wins

RACHEL — North Marion continued its impressive start to 2013 going on Saturday at home, rolling to victories in five innings over Liberty (8-0) and three against Nicholas County (12-0).

"Not bad — 4-0 is not a bad place to be,” North coach Brad Harker said of the Huskies’ fast start. “There’s still things we could do better and have to improve on, but it’s a lot better than 0-4.”

On Saturday, North did bit of everything.

The offense kept its hot hitting going as eight players had at least one hit. The pitching staff allowed just six hits over eight innings. And defensively, the Huskies’ didn’t commit an error on the afternoon and have not had a miscue yet through four games.
