East Fairmont played top-notch softball this past weekend while making it clear through to the championship game against Hedgesville during the Gene Baker Tournament.
During the semifinals, EFHS won a slugfest against Keyser, 10-7.
“We jumped up early, and they scored on a defensive miscue from us, and it got them back into the ball game,” East Fairmont’s head coach John Postlewait said. “They didn’t take the lead, but we extended our lead the next inning.”
