Nothing’s like going out and completely dominating your opposition.
Well, for East Fairmont’s ace, Justin Schmidt, that’s exactly what he did on Thursday evening as the Bees pounded North Marion, 18-3.
“After that loss we suffered last weekend to Lincoln, I was ready,” Schmidt said. “I wanted to get that first win for our team — get those freshmen a win under their belt — and mainly get our team focused. It’s a big relief for a team to get that first win.”
East’s head coach, Rob Barrett added, “His mindset was to compete. He really wanted to compete.”
In the first inning, Schmidt started shaky.
