Huge rally lifts Bears past RCB, 47-46

FAIRMONT — No. 2 Fairmont Senior rallied from a 16-0 deficit to begin play Wednesday and notched a 47-46 home victory over third-ranked Robert C. Byrd on Senior Night.

The Bears, now 14-3 overall, have won 11 straight games.

Jarin Hilson lead Fairmont Senior with a game-best 18 points.

DeVante Waites added 13 — including what would be the game-winning shot when he hit a 3-pointer with 12 seconds remaining — and Travon Horton had 10 before fouling out.

Nick Dyer led RCB (10-5) with 13 points.

Fairmont Senior is back in action Saturday when it visits country rival North Marion.
