Winning it all.
Fairmont Senior’s senior phenom Nick Trefz can now call himself a state champion in track.
Trefz took home the gold in the 3,200 meters in Charleston on Friday with a time of 9:36.21.
“It’s a really good feeling to have won a state title in the 3,200 meters,” Trefz said following his dominating performance. “I’m really a loss for words with how excited I am.”
This time was an impressive six seconds faster than his fellow competitor who placed second in Scott’s William Shaffer.
