FAIRMONT — North Marion girls’ soccer is set for its second season under the direction of head coach Steve Rodriguez.

Last year, the Huskies shocked many teams, while tallying an 8-7-2 record.

Here, Rodriguez preached attitude, effort and hard work — that’s something the girls bought into right away.

“One of the most important things that I wanted to implement was conditioning,” Rodriguez said. “Being able to compete the whole time without dying off. “I also wanted them to be aggressive. I told them that we were going to attack the ball and be aggressive toward the goal all of the time.”

This win-at-all-cost attitude reflected on the team’s demeanor throughout the entire season.
