Like any big brother, Fairmont Senior basketball standout Travon Horton likes to give his young siblings a hard time every now and then.
But in the case of the Horton family — whether it’s Polar Bear senior Travon or his twin brother, sophomore brother Tavon, freshman sister Ty or his youngest brother in middle school — it is all about love.
Tough love. Especially when you are Tavon Horton and have to follow the path of Travon, who is having an all-state season and has Fairmont Senior on the brink of a championship going into this afternoon’s Class AA final.
“It’s probably pretty tough for him,” Travon said of Tavon, who wears No. 0 to his brother’s No. 4 jersey and is a key reserve for the Polar Bears. “Everything he does, I emphasize it. If he has one turnover, I make it seem like he has 15."
