East Fairmont hopes to run the Big 10

FAIRMONT — East Fairmont softball hopes to rumble in 2013.

For the Bees’ lineup, they are set to replace just one position — catcher.

Last year, EFHS was led by star catcher in Emily Morton, was named the Times West Virginian All-Mon Valley Softball Player of the Year.

During her outstanding season, she tallied a .462 batting average, and she also provided a little pop in her bat. She finished the season with two home runs, 10 doubles, four triples, 31 RBIs and a strong slugging percentage of .769.

“We lost one senior from last year’s team, Emily Morton,” East Fairmont head coach John Postlewait said.
