PLEASANT VALLEY —
While Mother Nature seems primed over the next few days to deliver another dose of winter on the region, East Fairmont’s softball lineup is red hot.
The Bees kept their torrid early-season hitting going on Saturday, combining for 23 hits in a home doubleheader sweep of Weir.
“We had a real good day,” East coach John Postlewait said.
You can say that again, as East shook off a late Weir charge for an 8-3 win in game one and then cruised in the nightcap en route to a 14-2, three-inning romp.
