For North Marion’s six seniors, it was hard to say goodbye to 2012.
And for two in the group — starters Caden Kuhn and Eric Tulanowski — it was difficult to even step off Husky Field after Friday’s season-ending 21-3 win over Grafton.
While fans were walking to the exits and most of their teammates already hit the locker room, Kuhn and Tulanowski made a quick beeline to the Husky shield on the 50-yard line.
But rather than say a prayer or grab a blade of grass or do whatever players do when they know they’ve likely played the last game of their lives, they did something different.
They simply sat down, and let the moment — of what they accomplished and what they were about to leave behind — sink in.
