It’s often been said that twins can feel each other’s pain.
But they can also feel each other’s success.
That’s the case for Justin and Caleb Anselene.
Though the twins are sophomores, their class rank has not stopped them from providing solid help for the Polar Bears soccer squad.
Caleb has been a spark for Fairmont Senior offensively, while his brother Justin has been key in the midfield.
“They contribute a lot,” Fairmont Senior head coach Jim DeNardi said of the young men.
While both play key roles, their roles are different.
“Caleb does a good job offensively, keeping the offense moving. Justin plays midfield, making passes, controlling the middle of the field,” DeNardi said.
Caleb has scored three of the five goals already for the Polar Bears this season and is an important part of a young offense.
As for the brotherly connection, it helps in more ways than one.
“They do play well together because they know each other,” DeNardi reiterated. “They’ve played together a lot. That makes a difference in soccer.”
