SHINNSTON — After a tight first half, the Lincoln Cougars (3-1) scored twice in the first three and a half minutes in the second half to take down the East Fairmont Bees (1-2).

Ty Seibel rushed for 112 yards in each half and accounted for all three of the Cougars touchdowns, two on the ground and one through the air.

For East Fairmont, quarterback Jake Delaney couldn’t seem to get a good connection going with 6-foot-5 receiver Miles Johnson, but he and Scotty Shroyer connected six times for 71 yards. Shroyer also ran the ball 11 times for 53 yards and a 19-yard score.

Late in the third quarter, East converted on two long plays to keep the drive alive but eventually settled for a 35-yard field goal from Colin Harvath.

The Cougars controlled the clock for the fourth quarter and rolled to a 22-10 victory.

East Fairmont moves to 1-2 and is back in action next Friday at home against Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m.
