Quarterback Austin Norman threw for four touchdowns and ran for a fifth, all in the first half. Two of his touchdown passes went to Neil Scherich, who also had a pick-6 on defense. Ryder Skarzinski and Luke Hrapchak hauled in the other two touchdown passes from Norman.
Malik Boddy scored on a second-half touchdown run to extend the lead to 49-0 before the Bucs scored a late touchdown to spoil the shutout.
Noah Harmon, the team’s leading rusher, left the game early in the first quarter with a knee injury. He carried the ball four times for 75 yards, but left the stadium on crutches.
The Polar Bears improved to 6-2 and 5-1 in the Big 10, while Buckhannon dropped to 2-7.
