Storm causes W.Va. officials to move five precincts

CHARLESTON — The Secretary of State’s Office has moved five precincts in three counties hard-hit last week by superstorm Sandy.

Secretary of State Natalie Tennant says more changes could be made before Tuesday’s election. Overall, there are more than 1,800 precincts statewide.

The changes are:

• In Lewis County, the precinct at Roanoke School will move to Lewis County High School, 205 Minuteman Drive, Weston.

• In Preston County, the precincts at the Aurora Memorial Building, the Eglon Community Building and the Farmers Wildlife Club Building will move to the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department, 25781 George Washington Highway, Aurora.

• In Tucker County, the Sycamore Grove Church precinct will move to St. George United Methodist Church, 45 Minears Mill Run Road, Parsons.
