Mountaineers take two

Justin Parks hit a grand slam and recorded seven RBIs to lead West Virginia to a doubleheader sweep over Morehead State, 10-5 in a seven-inning game and 16-6 in a nine-inning contest, Tuesday at Hawley Field.
The Mountaineers finished with 26 runs on 29 hits to stretch its win-streak to 11.
In game one, Parks led the Mountaineer offensive attack with two hits and four RBIs, while Joe Agreste had two hits and three RBIs.
Sophomore Billy Gross (4-0) earned his fourth win of the season, giving up one run on three hits, striking out six and walking three in six innings of work.
In game two, Vince Belnome led the Mountaineers offense, scoring one run on three hits and finishing with a career-high-tying five RBIs. Parks recorded three hits, scored three runs and finished with three RBIs.
Junior Ross Fetterly (2-1) earned his second win of the season, giving up two runs on five hits, striking out two and walking three in 3.2 innings of work.
