Gov. Tomblin to sign TIF bill Tuesday

MORGANTOWN — Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin is set to sign into law the TIF bill which will finance a development in Monongalia County which will include a new ballpark for WVU. The Governor will sign the bill during the Backyard Brawl Tuesday at Hawley Field after the first inning.

The WVU baseball team hosts Pitt at 6 p.m. The game has been designated as a “Dollar Night” with all tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Colas available for just one dollar.

The Mountaineers are coming off a sweep against Kansas and currently rank fourth in the Big 12 standings. The sweep is the first for WVU in the Big 12 and improved the Mountaineers to 27-18 overall and 9-6 in the Big 12.
