Local parks to be spruced up

FAIRMONT — A young man returned to his family’s home town to lead in cleaning up the town parks.

Bruce Bonfili, of Morgantown, has worked with 20 friends and family members for a combined 243 hours on parks in Grant Town. This is part of the process for Bonfili to become an Eagle Scout.

Bonfili said that he and others worked together to paint the playground equipment, reseal a basketball court, painted benches and added sand to play areas.

Bonfili’s mother has roots in Grant Town, which helped him decide to hold the project in the town.
