Every kid has a dream when they’re young.
Some want to be firemen, some want to be astronauts. But Austin Norman? He wanted to play college baseball.
The first-team All-State selection and dual-sport athlete made his dream come true Monday as he signed to play baseball with Marshall University.
After hitting .418 with 12 home runs and 48 RBIs for Fairmont Senior during his senior season, Norman plans to play outfield for the Thundering Herd.
On the academic side of things, Norman will major in education and plans to teach and coach. That’s if the MLB doesn’t come calling first.
