Oh, WOW! Learn to be healthy

FAIRMONT —  The Women on Wellness retreat is continuing to help women take the next step toward healthy lifestyles.

In partnership with the community, the West Virginia University National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health is hosting the Women on Wellness, or WOW, retreat at Heston Farm Winery in Fairmont on Oct. 25. Events have also been scheduled for Mingo County in Gilbert at the Larry Joe Harless Community Center on July 19, and Greenbrier County in Rainelle at Rainelle Elementary School on Nov. 8.

The WOW program gives women the tools — through resources in their community — that they need to change their behavior and commit to living a healthier lifestyle.

The WVU National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health wants to help people live the best they can, no matter what their age or where they are on their health journey. The Marion County event typically draws between 100 and 150 people of all ages.
