What a great weekend!
The 87th Atha Reunion had a beautiful weekend and our young ones had a great time. What could be better than two playgrounds, two bouncy houses, and a pirate ship?
Rugged and Unique
Today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is customers Appreciation Day! Come out and enjoy a hot dog with us!
Rugged and Unique is asking for donations of kid’s clothes. School will be starting soon!
White Hall Kiwanis
The regular August meeting will be a week later than usual. It will be held on Aug. 8 at Bob Evans at 6 p.m.
The members will discuss the Back to School Shoes Program, White Hall playground project and White Hall Fall Festival Celebration that will be held in October.

White Hall Town Hall Meeting
The regular meeting was held at the new Public Safety Building at 118 Tygart Mall Loop.
Mayor John Michael opened the ceremonies with the pledge of allegiance to the flag, prayer, call to order, and roll call of officers.
A thank you card was received from the Fairview Fourth of July Committee for their donation.
The Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Department had a total of 74 monthly calls, with 18 call in White Hall, 7 emergency medical calls, 7 car accidents, 1 automatic fire alarm, 2 public service calls and 1 other traffic alarm.
The police department had 66 cases, 40 arrests, and 2 or 3 felonies.
The maintenance department reported ordering a picnic table, trees trimmed, building almost finished.
Jason DeFrance was appointed as the White Hall representative for the Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Council approved spending $900 from the hotel/motel fund or general fund on The Celebration of Lights at Morris Park.
Resolution 19-005 was approved for establishment of TIF.
New building sign quote was approved.
Corrective motion for Deputy Mayor Tim Ridenour was updated and approved.
The members appointed to the Annexation Committee are Eric Martin, Frank Jarman, and John Jacobs as chairman.
The Community Educational Outreach Service does not have a regular meeting in August.
The club is having an Inside Sale at the Old Nixon School Beverly Clubhouse on Friday, Aug. 16, and Saturday, Aug. 17.
The Bookmobile is available in White Hall on Wednesday at the Middletown Commons from 9-10 a.m. (1st & 3rd week) and 10:30-11:30 a.m. (2nd & 4th week) near BB&T, and Monday at NASA IV & V, 12-1 p.m. (back parking lot) 1st and 3rd week. Library 366-1211.
