What a beautiful week, with cooler temperatures and some rain!
A trip to Chestnut Ridge Campground (near Cooper’s Rocks) for a few days, was a great experience! Great-grandchildren got to play in the children’s area at the lake, we walked the trails and sat around our campfire while the kids painted rocks.
We saw Monarch butterflies, beautiful orange chanterelle (edible) and Jack O’Lantern (not edible) mushrooms, but we missed seeing the bear by our camping trailer.
