Good Morning Rivesville. Hope everyone is well.
News from the Town:
The town celebration will be held today behind the town hall. There will be food, vendors, bounce house, cake walk, games for the kids, raffle baskets, music and fireworks. I hope everyone will bring a chair and come enjoy the small town fun.
This event starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. I just want to say there are some really nice raffle baskets, all proceeds will go toward next year’s event. Tickets are $1 each, six for $5 or an arms-length for $10.
Today is the last day of the Paw Paw Fair, I hope everyone will get out and support all the hard work that goes into having this event.
July 1-2, Route 19 into Fairmont will be closed as the railroad will be working on the tracks at Dakota. Everyone will have to take an alternate route if they are going to Fairmont. I know this is inconvenient, but please be patient.
July 6: The Rivesville United Methodist Church will hold its Randy Currey Memorial hot dog sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Any questions, call Bonnie at (304) 278-5817 or Roxann at (304) 777-0540.
July 6: The Marion County Extention Service is celebrating 100 years of 4-H camping in Marion County. There will be a one-day reunion for 4-H alumni, supporters, spouses, and current members. If interested in attending, call (304) 367-2772 or visit Facebook under Camp Mar-Mac Association. The fee is $20 and will include lunch and dinner. Registration is from 9-10 a.m.
July 7-11: Rivesville Baptist Church (formally MIBC) will hold their Vacation Bible School “Giddy Up Junction.” Come join in some fun as the school visits the old west.
There will be Bible lessons, songs, games, cheering, crafts, and a missionary story, with cookies, a candy store and lots more fun. A carnival day will be held on Wednesday with a bounce house, carnival games, prizes, popcorn and more, all free of charge. Children K-6 are welcome. The times will run from 6-8:15 p.m., each evening.
If you have any questions call (304) 278-9756 or (304) 376-1609. We will be happy to have your children come and learn of Christ and his wonderful word. 7/14: Dinner at Baxter VFD. Meal to be announced.
July 26-27: Rivesville Homecoming Reunion. Just a reminder that you don’t have to be a graduate of Rivesville High to attend, and everyone is welcome. This is a two-day event with the first night being a weiner roast and a covered dish dinner and the second night being a catered meal by Franks place. $11 covers both events.
Both events will be held at the old high school. Call Gary Morris at (304) 365-4053 for more information. Come out and enjoy a good time with old and new friends.

Can you believe we are almost into July? Months ago, when I started sharing about the Paw Paw Fair and the Town celebration, it seemed so far away. Now it’s here and almost gone.
Wishing everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July.
