Operation Christmas Child is going on now. For more info, go to samaritanpurse.org for an explanation. In a nutshell, I’ll give a little run down. You get a box or plastic container and put age appropriate items in it and they go to countries where kids may never get anything.
Some of the items I put in my box are washcloth, hand towel, soap, toothbrush, comb, brush, pencils, paper, stuffed animal or toy that will fit in box, this is just an example. No liquids or war toys. The collection week is Nov. 18-24 and the boxes can be dropped off at Central United Methodist Church that week.
