It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! If you need a countdown, we are officially 23 days away from Christmas and 29 days away from a new decade!
I hope you had a chance to stuff your belly this past week and spend some time with your loved ones. After stuffing myself and spending some much-needed time with my family I went home and relaxed instead of heading out for Black Friday shopping.
This is the first year in a long time that I did not go out. I find that I do not enjoy it as much now that things start on Thursday. I miss the days when you could sit back after eating dinner Thanksgiving evening, scan the ads for the best deals, then head out around 2 a.m. to get in line. However, I did do some online shopping instead.
This year I have decided to scale back on spending and gifts and focus more on the real meaning of the season and making special memories. The kids may not be excited about that right now, but one day I hope they look back and cherish those memories!
Whatever your plans are or however you choose to celebrate let us all remember peace on Earth, goodwill toward men!
