Operation Christmas

Last call for Operation Christmas Child boxes. Not sure what that is, go to samaritanpurse.org for an explanation better than I can give. In a nutshell, I’ll give a little run down. You get a box or plastic container and put age-appropriate items in it and they go to countries where kids may never get anything. Some of the items I put in my box are washrag, hand towel, soap, toothbrush, comb, brush, pencils, paper, stuffed animal or toy that will fit in a box, this is just an example. No liquids or war toys. The boxes need to be in by Sunday, November 24. The boxes can be dropped off at Central United Methodist Church that week. If you would like more information on this text 304-692-1959.

Christmas Toy Shop

If you are interested in helping the Christmas Toy Shop that’s being held on Friday, November 29 from 3 - 6 p.m. contact Butch Tennant at 304-208-8385. This program helps provide gifts to those who may not be able to do so. Let’s all try and help where we can.

Small Business Saturday There will be a Small Business Vendor/Craft show Saturday, November 30, the day after Black Friday at the Rivesville Community Building.
