Remember those old Nike ads?
If you’re old enough, you know the ones. Michael Jordan in his prime, but still ringless with the Chicago Bulls. Spike Lee playing a guy by the name of Mars Blackmon, who wore large glasses and trotted around an even bigger catchphrase:
“It’s Gotta Be the Shoes!”
For North Marion’s Troy Shuck, it is the shoes.
They might help him slip past defenders on the hardwood, but his pink Nike high-tops also inspire.
The Huskies’ senior point guard has worn them all season in honor of his mother, Cindy Shuck, who lost a long battle with cancer last summer.
