She’s only a handful of games into her soccer goalie career, but Jamie Feltz already looks the part.
You notice it when the Fairmont Senior junior keeper makes a diving stop. Or maybe when she quickly moves to the side and swats an incoming ball away.
And you’ll see it perhaps the most when Feltz gives up a rare goal.
“She’s offended by it,” Fairmont Senior girls’ soccer coach Jaimie Fitch said. “She’s a goalie and she hates to let the ball in. But it’s never anybody else’s fault. If it goes in, she takes full responsibility.”
That’s a sign of someone growing into a role, which Feltz has done so far as one of the Polar Bears’ early season standouts.
