FAIRMONT — What began as a report of a man brandishing a weapon ended in an arrest on drug charges for a Fairmont man.

Andrew Lynn Fisher, 35, of 80 Stoney Rd., Trailer 11, Fairmont, was arrested after police responded to a brandishing complaint June 6. A search of his home allegedly ended with police finding a marijuana plant, according to a criminal complaint.

The complaint states that a Fairmont Police Department patrolman responded to the complaint at another trailer at 80 Stoney Rd.

A person identified in the court papers as the victim and an independent witness sai that the suspect, allegedly identified as Andrew Fisher, allegedly pointed a black pistol at the victim.

Fisher gave officers permission to search his residence for the firearm.

According to the complaint, the officers found a marijuana plant during the search, and Fisher was placed under arrest. A search warrant was obtained for a more in-depth search.

Upon further searching, the officers allegedly found a marijuana plant growing in a pot, small plastic baggies, scales and a smoking device police said is commonly used to consume marijuana, the complaint states.

According to the complaint, Fisher is charged with the felony offense of prohibited acts.

Court records show Fisher’s bail was set at $5,012. He is in North Central Regional Jail.
