North Marion’s boys’ basketball team simply did what any good team does Wednesday night.
The host Huskies grabbed a quick lead. Then they had a little adversity. But they managed to gather themselves, fight through it and win, 65-49, over Philip Barbour.
North, the No. 10 team in the Class AAA in the latest Associated Press state poll, moved to 12-2 this season, 5-2 in the Big Ten, and won their third straight following a loss at second-ranked Fairmont Senior.
“As long as they can keep believing in one another and playing hard and sharing that basketball, we’re going to keep getting better,” North coach Chris Freeman said.
