The Marion County Board of Education voted to eliminate two school personnel positions during a special session Tuesday.
Following the recommendation of Superintendent of Schools Gary Price, the board approved the reduction of a mid-day special ed bus aide, currently held by Judith McDowell, and half of the full-time cook contract for Judy Efaw, the cook at Blackshere Elementary School.
Several other positions are expected to be reduced during the upcoming non-renewal phase, and some people will need to be transfered.
