A Farmington couple was charged with child neglect after the wife allegedly sold drugs out of their home with children present.
Johnnie Brint Thorne, 32, of Farmington, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with conspiracy and child neglect creating risk of injury.
Trina Thorne, 37, of Farmington, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and child neglect creating risk of injury.
According to the criminal complaint, Farmington police chief Andrew Schwartz and the Marion County Sheriff’s Department conducted a controlled buy on July 2 at the Thorne residence. The officers used confidential informants and recorded the buy.
The evidence was placed in the Marion County Sheriff’s Department. According to the criminal complaint, the defendants had two children present in the home when Trina Thorne sold Subutex to the confidential informant.
