The Fairmont Community Development Partnership won’t see an answer to its appeal over the Spatafore building for at least a month after a hearing on the issue was postponed.

The hearing before Fairmont City Council was originally scheduled for today. On Monday morning, the City of Fairmont announced the hearing had been postponed until March 27.

The hearing was to be an appeal hearing. It was requested by the FCDP and Jay Tricket, owner of the buildings.

The Spatafore building is actually two buildings, 92 and 94 Fairmont Ave.; one is yellow brick and one is red brick. The FCDP wants to purchase the buildings from Tricket and knock them down.
