Information is on the way for employers in the city limits.
Earlier this month, the city council approved two fees that will provide money for Fairmont to pave its streets.
For the city’s 7,400 households, $2 per week will be added to the city’s existing street sweep fee, which provides for removal of debris under regulations from the federal Environmental Protection Agency. That fee is on the city services bill — or water bill. The extra $2 per week will make that total fee $9.57 per month, or $19.14 on each bi-monthly bill.
Each household will contribute $104.04 each year to the paving fund.
