Widespread flooding continues in Marion County as firefighters and rescue personnel work tirelessly to get conditions under control.
As of 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, sections of Speedway, East Park Avenue, and Pleasant Valley Road in Fairmont are closed due to flooding. Representatives from the Department of Highways said that Route 19 South, Route 310 toward East Grafton Road, and Route 250 South toward White Hall are closed as well. Other roads alongside bodies of water should be avoided.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning in effect until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. We will continue to update you on the situation.
