On the field or on the court, Marion County’s three high schools are always intense rivals.

Perhaps that intensity is what has helped build a bond between the schools outside of sports, and that sense of community was on display at North Marion High School on Friday.

Students, faculty, administrators and members of both the North Marion and East Fairmont communities came together to help two causes — the Jacob Bower scholarship fund and breast cancer awareness — on Friday in Rachel.
