There are hundreds of amazing and adorable pets waiting for adoption at the Marion County Humane Society No-Kill Shelter.
However, we can only show you two of them each time we have Pets of the Week.
Meet Kara, a nine-week-old Domestic Shorthair kitten. She was originally born in the Humane Society shelter to a stray mother cat and was placed in a foster home for the first few weeks of her life.
Kara is now the only kitten of her litter still looking for their forever home. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, and flew, tick and heartworm treated.
This week’s dog is Reesie, who was recently surrendered by a family that was moving and no longer wanted her.
Reesie came in severely overweight, which is really bad for dogs, so she will need someone who would be willing to pamper this girl with long walks and healthy snacks.
She is only 2 to 3-years-old and is tested, microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea, tick and heartworm treated.
The Marion County Humane Society is a non-profit “No-Kill” animal welfare organization located at 2731 Locust Ave.
Adopting a dog or cat saves lives and gives you a friend for life.
To adopt Kara and Reesie, contact the shelter either by phone or email at firstname.lastname@example.org or (304) 366-5391.
